Drone Crop Spraying QLD & NSW

Reading a chemical label for drone application

If the label says aerial, a drone is aerial.

Aerial means drones too

The APVMA treats RPAS application as aerial application. Buffer zones, droplet size, water rate and release height on the label all apply.

Fixed wing only?

If the label allows aerial application by fixed wing aircraft only, a rotary drone can’t be used, as the NSW EPA notes.

Silent on drones?

If the label is silent on helicopter application, a rotary drone must meet the general aerial requirements, per NSW EPA guidance.
